In 2003 Mike and Davena Fraser founded Phoenix Engineering, building a reputation for delivering high quality steel engineering and fabrication projects.
Years of experience
Mike’s career started at The Devonport Naval Base in the 1990s, where he learnt both the hands on skills and the importance of attention to detail that would lead to the success of Phoenix Engineering.
His work as fabricating contractor took him around New Zealand and Australia, working on everything from ship building to industrial boilers for dairy companies. He found a talent for solving problems and developed a keen awareness of the level of skill required to deliver the precision steel engineering they are now known for.
From owning small businesses to managing over 50 staff, in industries from export to agriculture to hospitality, Davena’s experience and hands-on practicality see Phoenix Engineering running smoothly and providing clients with clear communication and responsive service.
If more hands are needed on a project they have a group of trusted contractors to call on.
A meticulous and relentless commitment to delivering quality work, paired with a talent for project management, means Phoenix Engineering is a go-to firm for key players in the architecture and construction industry and Mike is always a welcome face on site.
